Hey, I'm Ahmed Habib

I'm a software engineer who loves building things from scratch. Not because it's always the practical choice, but because there's something deeply satisfying about understanding every layer of what you create. This entire site — the CMS, the tools, the membership system — was built by hand with PHP, MySQL, and zero frameworks. No Composer. No Node. Just clean, intentional code.

What This Site Is

Ahmed Habib is my personal corner of the internet. It's where I write about engineering challenges I've tackled, share tools I've built, and document the things I learn along the way. Think of it as a workshop — sometimes I'm writing about backend architecture, sometimes I'm tinkering with a new utility, and sometimes I'm just sharing thoughts on the craft of building software.

Why I Built This

I believe the best way to truly learn something is to build it yourself. Most people reach for WordPress or a static site generator — and there's nothing wrong with that. But I wanted something that was mine, something I understood inside and out. Every controller, every database query, every CSS rule — it all exists because I put it there on purpose.

This site is also powered by an AI-assisted content studio that helps me draft, refine, and publish content faster — because good tooling should make creative work easier, not replace it.
